I am a member of an amazing organization! It is truly an honor to serve as your Senior Vice President for 2024-2025. I wish to extend my congratulations and best wishes to all newly elected Senior Vice Presidents on the District and Auxiliary levels for 2024-2025. As Senior Vice Presidents, we have been elected to a particularly prominent position in the Auxiliary and we need to work hard to ensure we honor and support our nation’s veterans, their families, active duty military, and our communities. If we do that, we will have a phenomenally successful and productive year.

As Senior Vice President, your role is to assist the President in any way needed. Your duties include attending various veteran, active duty, and community-organized events. On occasion, you may be asked to conduct meetings in the absence of the President (please refer to our National Bylaws, Section 811, as well as the "Building on the VFW Auxiliary Foundation” for information pertaining to Senior Vice Duties on all levels, as well as other pertinent information). The information contained will help familiarize and prepare you for a successful term in office, as well as educate you on the policies and procedures of the VFW Auxiliary as a whole.

I plan to visit as many Districts and Auxiliaries as possible this year, whether in person, via zoom or livestreaming and will be available to answer any questions you may have. I encourage all District and Auxiliary Senior Vice Presidents to a􀆩end as many District or Department Meetings and Schools of Instructions to gather up the valuable knowledge being shared. I encourage all to attend meetings outside of your own District and Auxiliaries, as well. It’s a wonderful way to get new ideas while making new friends.

I am looking forward to meeting as many of the wonderful members of the Department of California as I can this year. Please remember we are "Growing in Service for Our Veterans, Rooted in Strength.” We are the Department of California, and we will help each other be successful. This year will be an impressive year for us as we strive together to support our nation’s veterans, their families, active duty service members, and our communities.
