Timothy Ibarra
Commander - Marines

Tim Ibarra currently serves as California's District 4 Commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 2004 to 2008, assigned to both 1st Marine Division Headquarters and 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines. He deployed with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom—earning his eligibility for VFW membership. Later he deployed with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of humanitarian aid missions and joint training exercises with allied nations.
 
From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Ibarra continued his service as a private contractor with Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC), 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion. He joined the VFW in 2007 and has been an active member of Post 2075 in Hawthorne, California since 2022. As Post Quartermaster, he contributed to the Post achieving All-American and California All-State honors for 2024–2025.
